All About Reading

Reading is the process of looking at and interpreting written or printed words and symbols in order to understand their meaning. It is a fundamental skill that allows us to gain knowledge, learn new things, and communicate with others. Reading can take many forms, including reading books, newspapers, magazines, websites, and social media posts. It is an important part of education, as well as a popular leisure activity for many people. Reading can also help to improve vocabulary, critical thinking skills, and overall cognitive function.

What is a lexile level?

A lexile level is the measure of how difficult a text is or a student's reading ability level. 

Where can I find my child's lexile level?

If you do not know your child's Lexile measure, look at their latest standardized test results or ask your child's teacher.  The following are sources of Lexile measures:
